Carly Wilson

Growing up in the city of Aberdeen, Carly has always had a passion for the arts. Moving to Edinburgh in 2016 has allowed Carly to discover her own taste and opinion towards theatre. In particular, she found herself fascinated with the actors body whilst exploring the world of physical movement. The unexplainable euphoric feeling whilst witnessing text and movement come together, is something that especially fuels her work.

Ella Hallgren

Ella was born on the north coast of Sweden, and moved to Edinburgh in 2016 to study acting. She finished her first full play in 2019 and has since then been mentored by Stef Smith through Playwrights' Studio Scotland's Mentoring Programme, been commissioned by Strange Town, and is developing her first radio play. Ella is passionate about queer and womxn lead stories, and love writing in the thriller and horror genres with diverse, and stereotype-defying characters and casts. 

Cara Watson

Cara Watson is an actor and writer originally from Fife, currently based in Edinburgh. She studied at the MGA Academy, where she met the rest of the UMT team, and graduated in 2019 with a 1st, BA (Hons) in Acting. Since then she has been working as an actor and emerging writer within Scottish theatre. Her voice and style is contemporary, whilst exploring stories from history and today. Cara is currently studying an MSc in Playwriting at The University of Edinburgh.

Tanyaradzwa Gimani

Tanyaradzwa came from Zimbabwe at the age of 10. At this age theatre was just a little bubble of interest but it quickly transformed into their biggest passion. They have worked with the likes of Paddy Cuneen, Andy Cannon, Aileen Ritchie and Alasdair Hunter. Tanya is eager to work with other actors and performers from various cultures and learn what theatre is like in other countries.
